I’m Kirsten—a Portland native, a wife, and a mom to two young kids. My house is loud, cozy, and usually covered in art supplies.

Kirst N. Carpenter is where my different worlds collide: dark romantasy, pyrography, and "cozy-cursed" merch. I’ve always been happiest with multiple projects in motion, whether I'm drafting a scene about exiled kings or burning a new design into wood.

I write the kind of men I want to see more of. While my characters are often morally gray and protective to a fault, I’m married to a "morally bold" man—a ginger-hearted hero who inspires the strength and loyalty in every hero I create.
